A very warm welcome to you from all the members of the Rotary Club of Chippenham. The Chippenham Rotary Club has been established now for well over sixty years. We meet each Monday lunchtime at 12.30 p.m. in the Rotary Hall, Station Hill, Chippenham, SN15 1EG. We are pretty unique amongst Rotary Clubs in owning our own Rotary Hall which is used not only by our own Club for lunches, meetings and social functions but also by a wide variety of community groups in Chippenham and the surrounding area, who can book the hall and kitchen at favourable rates. All surpluses from the operation of the Hall are donated to a variety of charities each year. There is a second Rotary Club in the town , Chippenham Wiltshire Vale Club, which meets on a Monday evening at 7.00 p.m. in the Angel Hotel, Market Place, Chippenham, SN15 8HD. A third Club, Chippenham Larkrise, a breakfast-time Club meeting at 7.30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings has, regrettably, recently closed, but may be revived if there is sufficient local interest. All Rotary Clubs work together in their local communities and internationally for the good of others who may be less fortunate . There are over 1.2 million Rotarians in Clubs situated in nearly all the countries of the world. If you become a Rotarian, you immediately become a member of that great family. Do have a look at the pictures on our website which show some of the things we do, working with children and young people, fundraising in the local community, and organising community events. We support a great variety of local, national and international Good Causes, and, in particular, have been much involved in a world-wide project – Rotary Polio Plus- aimed at eradicating the scourge of polio from the world – a project which is almost now completed. And, while we are doing all these good works, we manage to have a lot of fun as well. Have you ever thought of joining Rotary ? Perhaps you would like to know a little more about our great organisation. Or you may simply be interested in booking our hall. Do give us a call or send us an email or come along and see for yourself – you’ll be made most welcome. Contact details appear elsewhere on this website.
